Nirvana is widely acclaimed for being the only restaurant in Vancouver that captures the authentic flavour of traditional Indian Cuisine. Devinder began his career as a restaurant manager in India, and has always been motivated to share Indian food and culture with everyone he meets. In addition to providing heavenly dishes derived from the foothills of the Himalayas, Nirvana is revered along Main Street for the culinary excellence that attracts locals and visitors alike. Nirvana is one of the longest-running Indian restaurants in Vancouver, and the food is highly sought after by celebrated patrons and even other chefs for its consistent authenticity. The charming restaurant owner says his approach is deeply rooted in what is best about India.  “Cities are cities, but the most beautiful things about my village are that you meet real people, real culture and you see how people live,” says Devinder.
