Born and raised in the financial hub of India, Mumbai, Randeep never felt far from her pind of Goindwal. She fondly remembers spending summer months playing endlessly in streets of her ancestral hometown.
The smell of wet dirt road and slow cooking saag linger in her memory.
Randeep Sidhu, 32, moved to Canada at the age of sixteen with her family and opened Rhea’s Hair and Beauty Care in Surrey in 2002.
She has taught and trained her staff herself and aims at becoming a professional teacher in the Cosmetology field.
She feels proud to have trained her former employees, who have ventured on their own now. Besides being a member of CIABC (Cosmetology Industry Association of British Columbia) she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
“I am a people’s person, which is very important for a successful business. And my staff is like my family so I enjoy my work a lot.”
