Coming from the ancestral town of one of the most revolutionary freedom fighters, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Mrs. Navdeep Kaur, is the proud owner of Just Punjabi Creations. Mrs. Kaur moved to Canada in 1991 with her family. Being a fashion enthusiast she set up her boutique which aims at representing traditional Punjabi fashion and jewellery, in 2009. She fondly remembers attending weddings in India and helping all her relatives with making appropriate fashion choices. Now settled in Canada for more than a decade, she wants to provide the same zeal and excitement of dressing up for Indian parties for Indo-Canadians. Besides matching bright Suit colours with the right Kundan earrings, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her two children. “I miss the social life of my pind. It is not the same here. My boutique is a little representation of my traditions so whenever I am at work, I feel I am back in India,” say Mrs. Kaur.
