Surrounded with spirituality and holiness Mr. Amardeep Kang comes from a town where Guru Nanak Devji spent many years and formed the basics of Sikhism. Mr. Kang believes that growing up in Sultanpur Lodhi has helped him build his faith stronger. He fondly remembers the annual Gurupurab funfair held near Ber Sahib Gurudwara with his family. But after struggling to find a source of consistent income for his family, he decided to move to Canada in 1997. He had to overcome a culture shock and a language barrier to get a job. He worked as a truck driver in his earlier years here, but with the help of his friends, opened a music shop in his garage. He now has extended his business to renting videos as well. In his spare time he likes to travel and visit the local Gurudwara. “I like Canada but eventually want to go back to my holy town and settle there,” says Mr. Amardeep Kang.
