What have you done for your hometown: I haven’t been able to help yet but would like to do something for a school or a hospital.
Canada seemed to be the land of opportunities for Mr. Harminder Singh Pantlia and he moved here in 2004 looking for a better lifestyle. Computers always seemed to attract him as a child so he studied IT in college. After working in the field for over two years he was looking at an opportunity to open his business. He developed a business idea of providing security cameras to local businesses as there were very few providers at the time. In 2006, Pantlia launched Shift Online, a web services company. He further ventured into IT by opening Adapt Systems in 2009 and now provides CCTV and security alarm systems. In his spare time he likes to read books and listen to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. “The quality of life is definitely better in Canada, though I did miss my friends back home when I first came here. It has taken me five years to get where I am,” he said.
