Our baby boomer curve is shifting into their 60’s and 70’s. Their needs for flexible healthcare services will continue to grow. There is a need for more healthcare workers of various skills: from doctors and nurses to healthcare office workers and assistants.
When Joel G came to talk to a Sprott Shaw advisor, he was wasn’t sure what he wanted in his new career.
He only knew that wanted a change for himself and his daughter.
“After speaking with the advisors at the Victoria campus, Phil and Steve, I decided on the Healthcare program,” Joel explains.
“It has been a great learning experience, I have made new friends, and had awesome staff and teachers.”
“Sprott Shaw is a supportive and very educational college and I am glad I attended here.”
Joel’s finishing advice to all students is “Even when the road is hard, always keep your head up!!!” After finishing his six and a half month program, Joel is today set to embark start a new career as a healthcare assistant and to put his skills to work in helping others.
With thirteen campuses across BC and the Lower Mainland, and with numerous career courses, Sprott Shaw offers much flexibility for students, whether just out of high school or mature and with families.
