As the population of BC continues to age, healthcare is becoming a leading growth industry in the province.
Our baby boomer curve is shifting into their 60’s and 70’s. Their needs for flexible healthcare services will continue to grow. There is a need for more healthcare workers of various skills: from doctors and nurses to healthcare office workers and assistants.
For Agnes Trylinski, her first course of study (Healthcare Assistant) at Sprott Shaw was so successful that when it came time for an upgrade, there was only one logical choice.
“After I graduated from the Health Care Assistant program, my employers were really impressed with my education and the skills I had developed at Sprott Shaw,” explained Agnes.
“Since my first experience was so successful, it was easy to choose Sprott Shaw College for my next career move.”
The skills upgrade of course meant a disruption to her normal day-to-day and work schedule but Agnes wasn’t overly concerned knowing how flexible class schedules at Sprott-Shaw College are.
“It worked out well. I had my work schedule and my school schedule, which all had to come together,” she said, acknowledging the dexterity of her advisor in putting the pieces together for her.
With thirteen campuses across BC and the Lower Mainland, and with numerous career courses, Sprott Shaw offers much flexibility for students, whether just out of high school or mature and with families.
Whether you are looking for Surrey nursing courses or an Abbotsford accounting program, Sprott Shaw has options for you.
