North Delta’s George Mackie Library is celebrating Chinese New Year on Saturday, February 16 from 1 to 3PM.
This is an opportunity to celebrate with and learn from a culture represented in our community!
Nola Young, President and director of the Hua Xia Multiculture Society will be sharing the significance of this celebration by discussing the traditions and customs of Lunar New Year.
Included will be dance performances and traditional music.
Tea will be served, and a chocolate coin will be given to the children attending.
George Mackie Library is part of the Fraser Valley Regional Library system - the largest public library system in British Columbia, with 24 libraries serving nearly 650,000 people in its service area.
