Mohamad Adham came to Canada in 1999.
A decade later, Adham came together with Khairi Nasrat, his uncle from his mother’s side, and founded Tibisti, a restaurant and halal butcher shop, in 2010.
Adham’s wife Amina, meanwhile, supports all his efforts as a homemaker.
I asked him, “what would you like people to know about your business?” and he replied, “that we have really good quality fresh meat such as lamb, beef and chicken including a specialty sausage, mirgaz. We also serve great Rib Eye, Sirloin and T-bone steaks, kebabs and tasty pita wrap sandwiches. If you love soup – you will find the best soup bones ever!
Having eaten there myself I can say this man likes to serve generous portions so be sure not to eat alone and prepare yourself for a big yummy meal. Mohamad is excited to state that some new menu features will include salads like tabouleh, fatoush, greek and caesar.
You can see that he has had ten years in the restaurant business, his service and staff are fast and always friendly and sincere.
Aside from his hobby and passion for cooking, he has a BA in Electrical Engineering which he achieved in Lebanon, his home country.
Adham grew up in the city of Sidon.
His hobbies include travel to his favorite place - Turkey.
We ended up talking about soccer, a sport that is dear to his heart. Why? it gives you special techniques that can help you develop an open mind and life skills.
Though I have never seen Mohamad play soccer but for sure he could make it to the World Cup of cooking!
Tibisti Foods & Grill is located at 6990 Victoria Drive.
