Sikhi educational seminars in Surrey

The Sikh Research Institute Canada (SikhRI-Canada) is hosting two educational workshops and invites members of the community to attend and get inspired and engaged in Sikhi.
On Monday, July 1st, 2013 SikhRI will be facilitating a full day of workshops on different topics.
Harinder Singh, Chief Executive Officer, and Parminder (Par) Singh, Board of Advisor of SikhRI, will deliver these workshops which will help to further explore the meaning, role and importance of the Guru and Sikhi.
Harinder Singh is a world renowned Sikh scholar who is respected for the dedication, research and programs he has coordinated both domestically and internationally. Parminder Singh has more than 25 years of professional experience in building, operating, and managing international businesses for private companies, government clients, and multi-national corporations around the world.
The cost per workshop is $20 including lunch; and free child care will be provided.
Workshops will be conducted in English.
The Sikh Research Institute Canada is a registered charity that provides educational programming, and strives to design and host events which bring together Sikhs and non-Sikhs.
The Sikh Research Institutes strengthens individuals and builds communities by enhancing leadership skills and endorsing community action.
Our mission of the Sikh Research Institute is to provide educational resources to Sikhs to lead a Guru-inspired life.
Our approach to learning Sikhi and sharing with the Sikh community is primarily through the interpretation of Gurmat.

Harinder Singh

Inspired by 1Force – Perfection that radiates Oneness – Harinder Singh is focused on education as a fulcrum for social change. He is an interdisciplinary researcher and orator who is passionate about learning, analyzing and sharing intricacies of Sikh and Panjabi heritage. He delivers lectures at universities and interfaith conferences, interviews on TV & radio, and authors articles. He has worked as an Aerospace engineer previously and is the co-founder of the Panjab Digital Library. He lives in New Jersey with his family. 
 
Parminder Singh

Parminder (Par) Singh has more than 25 years of professional experience in building, operating, and managing international businesses for private companies, government clients, and multi-national corporations around the world. He is the currently the President of Intellectual Ventures Canada.  Par sits on Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of British Columbia and DigiBC and is an advisor to Canada’s Centre for Wireless and Digital Health innovation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia and lives in Surrey, BC, with his wife, three children, two dogs, and an occasional goldfish.
