Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster bar: Brunch time in Downtown

By Diana (Foodology),

Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster bar is open for brunch on the weekends. Executive Chef Alex Chen redefines the fine art of dining with subtle, unexpected and playful approaches to cuisine, service and style.
The interior is beautiful thanks to the renovations. The space is very open and makes a great setting for dinner or brunch.
Spinach Eggs Benedict comes with potatoes and tomatoes. The eggs came out to be a delicious soft poached, which is always the best type of eggs.
Beef Short Rib ’Croque Madame’ has braised beef short rib, sunny side up egg, béchamel sauce on sour dough bread. It also comes with a bucket of fries. This dish was very heavy and rich. The sandwich is really a guilty pleasure.
Overall, the brunch was ok, but I felt like I wanted to see something a bit more creative from them on the menu. A lot of the items seemed ordinary. Perhaps it was the items we chose.
