It’s Throwback Thursday to June 2012! I met Soutomi at a fashion show featuring the Lotus Eye collection. It turns out she’s a big fan of the Owner (Mita Naidu) and wanted to help promote her line. For the photo shoot I thought it would be fun to juxtapose two cultures. I selected the location and affectionately came up with the title, “A Bengali in Beijing”.
As stated on the Lotus Eye website, Mita’s collections have an Indo-glam feel without being cliché. Stated another way, she’s developed a line that contemplates tradition in a new, fresh and modern way. For more information visit: lotuseye.ca
