Blythe doll fans can celebrate their love of their hobby with others in the first ever BlytheCon to be held in Canada. It will be held on August 9 at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre’s Pavilion Ballroom. This year’s theme will be “Always the Bridesmaid Never the Bride.”
It’s expected that up to 200 Blythe doll fans will attend the international event. Many of these collectors do their own sewing and crafts for their dolls.
This wide world phenomenon will feature the Nicky Lad (RBL) doll. People can bring their Nicky Lads for a contest/photo shoot. All proceeds for this non-profit event will be donated to the Orphaned Wildlife Association (O.W.L.) located in Delta, BC. Volunteers here are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing injured and orphaned birds of prey.
General admission tickets will be $60 each. Tickets include a goodie bag and lunch. For children 12 and under, admission tickets are $35, which includes lunch (kid’s meal), and does not include a goodie bag. There will be a limited number of child admission tickets for the event. For children 2 and under, admission tickets are free, but does not include a kid’s meal or goodie bag. Tickets for 2 and under are limited. All children (12 and under) must be accompanied by an adult with a general admission ticket. Tickets are transferrable.
