Nihon Fest partnered with some of the companies in Vancouver to showcase Japanese Festivals.
This three-day family-focused festival helped people get connected with their culture in Vancouver.
There were four components: anime/manga, Japanese Culture, gaming and import show, from recreating famous anime scenes for the cosplay community to gaming competitions.
In the children’s section, they had their own cosplay show and a Beyblae battle. There also was a Mange me, a manga creation session in which the best ones were published in their first edition of their digital magazine.
People could also purchase comic books and manga at the comic shops or Japanese novelty items and fashion items from the Nihon Market.
